I grew up in the precarious, multicultural, and diversity-influenced neighborhood of Berlin-Neukölln, which has given me vivid insights into what it means to navigate life with different social identity characteristics (race, cultural background, class, gender/sexuality, etc.). I have witnessed the cognitive or practical factors that can either separate or connect people, and I like to reflect on these with my clients.
