Since my childhood artistic expression played a very big role in my life, helping me to deal with my emotions. Writing and painting have always been sources of pleasure for me and helped me through more difficult times in my life.
During my work as a physician I realized that the mind is the greatest force for our wellbeing. Our mental health affects almost every part of our lives, which is why we have to take extra good care of it.
It was my intuition that drew me towards studying art therapy, leading me to combine my knowledge from my medical career with my experiences in the fine arts and art therapy. This way I create a holistic view on health, well-being and self-development, enabling people to connect with their creativity in order to navigate life's challenges and work through trauma.
Psychodynamic art therapy uses the process of creating art to access the unconscious mind, explore repressed emotions, and build insight, all within a therapeutic relationship that provides support and safety. This approach can be transformative for those seeking deeper self-understanding and emotional healing.
During the therapy session you will be able to create with different materials, experiment and explore your inner world. We will then talk about your experiences in the creative process and about your art work.
For art therapy to have an effect you do not need any artistic skills. All forms of creative expression are highly appreciated. All materials are provided by me (unless you choose online sessions).
