In order to find our strength, voice &place in this world, we need a home within ourselves. I’d be happy to accompany you in coming back home to your body so you can set boundaries and cultivate vulnerability & belonging
I am a
My work is guided by an appreciative, systemic and resource-oriented view of my clients. I am always deeply touched by our ability to survive and transform what was/is hurtful.
I work on the following topics, among others:
Some important resources and sources of strength for me are my personal relationships, the sea and nature, dancing and music, mindfulness practices and bodywork, collective visions and caring communities. As well as: humor.
I find it very important to maintain a (self-)critical and mindful approach to (the impacts of) power relations and vulnerabilities. As a queer therapist, I create an empowering space for people from the LGBTINQA* spectrum.
I ensure the quality of my work through regular supervision, intervision and further training.
I offer a free phone/ video call (15/20min) where you can ask me whatever you need to know before scheduling a first session.
When we work with the nervous system, the body and our different parts we overcome the widespread split between body and mind. Hence we can use our body's own wisdom in order to become more coherent, loving and whole — step by step.
Together we will work to dissolve the numbness and use the anger; to give space for joie de vivre and grief. We will also devise ways for you to come into your power, set boundaries, feel connectedness and belonging, and allow for vulnerability and tenderness. We will appreciate your coping strategies for managing your life as it used to be and, if necessary, transform them to be adequate for your current situation. I would be happy to mindfully and respectfully accompany you in finding your path back home to yourself, in a manner and method that is right for you.
It is key to move at the speed of trust and at the ability of your nervous system to hold the activation, to hold the emerging sensations and emotions. To make this possible, it is crucial to explore together what you need to feel sufficiently safe, understood and seen in the therapeutical process, so that you can develop trust and hence gain new experiences.
I look forward to meeting you if you would like to get to know me and my way of working, during an initial consultation - and then we could begin from there.
I wish you all the best in your (healing) journey.
