Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
DBT: Dialectical behaviour therapyRecommended for those who want to learn skills to manage intense emotions and improve their relationships, especially if they feel easily overwhelmed.
Person-centred approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.

I support clients through life transitions, in coping with depression and anxiety, and in attending to mental health in the perinatal period (pregnancy and postpartum). I have particular experience working with queer and LGBTQIA* folks, as well as people in poly and/or expansive relationship models. I welcome any and all people curious about their mental wellness and personal growth.

Using techniques from dialectical behavioral, cognitive, and client-centered therapy, I work with each client individually to tailor your treatment plan to you and your specific needs and wishes. I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership, and the foundation upon which healing and growth can occur. My approach is trauma-informed and critical of power relations within and outside of the therapeutic relationship.
