About me

I do psychological counselling out of both passion and compassion. Next to my private practice, I offer anti-discrimination counselling and give psychological support to persons experiencing the various types of discrimination, racism or antisemitism.

Thus, I work in two diverse and multilingual teams, where I offer individual and group counselling:

(1) on experiences of depression, hope- and helplessness, anxiety, loss and grief, managing the intensity of anger, facing requirements to adapt at work, experiences of isolation, loneliness, difficulties to find and keep relationships, and

(2) on issues around migration, social orientation, adaptive processes, experiencing 'survival mode' and existential fears, facing discrimination of any kind, exclusion/inclusion, feeling lost, as well as the need for roots, home, community and belonging.

I am a training candidate in psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis as well as in group analysis, and I am participating in a body-based psychodynamic psychotherapy class.

When I have time left, I design and give educational sessions and trainings in diversity and conflict transformation for international organisations.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Body therapyRecommended for those who want to connect their mind and body to release stress or trauma through physical sensations and movement.
Psychodynamic therapyRecommended for those looking to explore their emotions deeply and understand how past experiences shape their present life.
Trauma informed careRecommended for those who have experienced trauma and need a safe, supportive space to heal at their own pace.

In my practice, we explore the symptoms and psychic suffering as efforts to cope with underlying challenges, that can be intrapsychic or external. For that, I establish a transculturally sensitive, socially critical, yet generous and safe framework, and hold a secure space for difficult experiences of anger, pain, loss, fatigue, anxiety, so they can transform.

To unpack and work through these experiences, we either talk or inquire the body: posture, sensations, positioning in the room, cravings, impulses – to contain them together with a focus on either integration or conscious action.

Gaining back creativity, humour, liveliness and ressourcefulness requires a metaphorical walk through new weatherscapes or to experience the familiar ones from another angle. You have my curious and caring companionship for that.
