I offer to walk alongside you, honoring your time, your desire, and the unique rhythm of your process.Through thoughtful and non-judgmental listening, I create a space where your words, your silences, and your questions.
I'm Maria Mercedes Gettar (she/her). I am based between Berlin and Buenos Aires and currently work exclusively online, as I regularly travel between both cities.
I am a psychologist who is dedicated to providing thoughtful and affirming support to members of the LGBTQ+ community, those practicing non-monogamy, and anyone exploring diverse ways of relating and connecting.
I strive to make my practice a safe space, designed so that each person can express themselves and explore their experiences without fear of judgment, in an environment of respect, care and freedom.
My practice is based on psychoanalysis, a discipline that deeply values the uniqueness of each person. Instead of applying pre-established solutions, psychoanalysis proposes an attentive, respectful and non-judgmental listening that allows each person to discover their own answers through words. I accompany people who identify as queer, BDSM/kink practitioners, non-monogamous, polyamorous, sex workers, trauma survivors, or those who wish to explore these issues in a respectful and non-judgmental space. I don't believe that labels define people; I am open to you whether you fall into these categories or not. Using an intersectional feminist approach and active listening based on dialogue, my goal is to help you identify patterns that may be limiting your relationship with yourself and/or your attachments, and to guide you in reconnecting with your authentic needs and desires. In each session I am committed to listening without imposing interpretations, respecting your time, your rhythm and your needs. I do not work from a single model of "healing" but trust that the therapeutic process is unique to each story and can open pathways to a freer, more conscious and authentic life.
