My work is feminist, systemic, intersectional, trauma-informed. Your wellbeing and safety come first! With my methods and experience I will be on your side to facilitate the change you desire. Healing old or new wounds.
My background is in gender studies, which taught me the importance of and tension between freedom and safety. My expertise in systemic therapy and trauma therapy provides a nonjudgemental space for all realities just as they are, helping to understand the particular rules that guide us voluntarily or involuntarily and what is needed for change to be possible. When our boundaries are crossed, or our basic needs are not met we develop symptoms to compensate for what happened. I love the methods I work with as they allow to bring safety and justice into the parts in us that were hurt and still hurt us.
We will customize the therapy process to your specific needs. That means we look at what brings you to therapy and what is most important for you to change immediately and what you would like to change in general. I will present you the different methods and we will find out which ones work best for you. Together with the timeframe you have for the work you want to do together we develop an individual plan for therapy for you.
My approach is holistic.
Some of the methods I work with are:
TRIMB (trauma reprocessing though movement and breath)
IKR (Inneres Kinder Retten- saving inner parts/the inner child)
Neuroaffective breath work
Embodied resilience
My work experience is with LGBTQi, couples, people with learning disability, and sexual abuse.
