After retiring from the Army, John transitioned into the mental health field, driven by a deep commitment to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and pursue meaningful personal growth.
John has completed his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University and is trained in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, with a primary focus on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Mental Health Therapist - Higher Ground Behavioral Health
Provide client-centered therapeutic services to a diverse caseload of children, adolescents, and families. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, conduct psychological screening and assessments, and deliver individual and family therapy. Supported youth ages 8–18 with diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and oppositional defiant disorder, while continuously refining treatment and behavioral plans to promote emotional, behavioral, and developmental progress.
