I’m Mara, Certified Clinical Psychologist, Somatic Coach, and recovering “Boss Lady.” Academically, I earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. I also trained as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (currently in my 3rd & final year of training) and completed a 1-Year Intensive Coaching Certification in sexuality, love, and relationship coaching (VITA™ Institute). Before fully embracing the path of therapy and coaching, I spent over a decade in the fashion business, branding, and marketing world—hustling, achieving, and performing. While I was good at it, I eventually found my true calling in supporting others to heal and reconnect with themselves through the work that I do today.
My journey into mind-body healing began when my own body started screaming through chronic UTIs and other gynecological issues that traditional medicine couldn’t solve. I finally listened and discovered that real transformation happens when we attend to both mind and body, nurturing our whole selves. It was through my own personal descent—into my history, my shame, my fear, heartbreak, and longing—that I emerged more alive and free. Even now, I’m not “cured” of being human; tough days and sticky emotions still exist. But I’ve learned to meet them with compassion and a regulated nervous system, allowing more presence, joy, and play in life.
Today, I work with a range of issues—anxiety, chronic illness, panic attacks, sexuality, somatic symptom disorders, relationship challenges, and trauma. I also love helping people overcome perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the lasting effects of developmental trauma.
These days, I think of myself as more of a “Moss Lady” than a “Boss Lady”—still driven, but also grounded, intentional, and attuned to the rhythms of both my body and the earth.
I work somatically, adressing both the nervous system and the mind in the therapeutic process. My purpose is to create a safe, supportive, and even fun (when possible) space where you can access your inner healer and your innate capacity for healing through nervous system regulation and connection to your deepest knowing/wisdom. I hold space from the felt sense belief that you can go through years of self-inquiry and know all the wise advice, yet still feel the effects of your dysregulated nervous system—such as anxiety, panic attacks, shame, chronic health conditions, repeating toxic patterns, self-sabotage, burnout, overthinking, etc.
All of you belongs. I have a wholeness-based, integrative approach in which all parts of you belong. I truly believe that the parts you dislike the most need your presence the most, because they are remnants of versions of you that you developed to survive and get to this point. They are here to support you still and protect you from past threats that are no longer present. They need your love and reassurance that your current version of reality is safe enough and the direction you are heading towards is not only safe but potentially amazing.
The mind and the body are (without a shadow of a doubt) connected! Without nervous system healing and without the body, we are just infinitely trying to talk ourselves into freedom or healing, sometimes understanding the why but not fully being able to feel it or do anything real about it.
I also truly believe that it is possible to: Feel comfortable with your emotions Heal deeply stored trauma Gain courage to materialize your wildest dreams Speak up and create healthy boundaries Deepen relationships with yourself and others Unlock your body’s innate healing ability Make room for joy, pleasure, and aliveness
