Hi, I’m Cansel Kaya. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychological Counseling and Guidance at Aydın Adnan Menderes University, graduating as the top student in my department with high honors. Later, I pursued a fully funded master’s degree in Psychology at the University of Pécs with a prestigious merit-based scholarship awarded by the Hungarian government, where I graduated with distinction.
After my undergraduate studies, I worked as a school psychological counsellor in a private school in Turkey, supporting children and their families. During my master’s studies, I conducted individual and group therapy sessions under supervision for two years. Following graduation, I started working as a psychologist at a private institution in Hungary. My work with children, adolescents, and families has been ongoing for years, and I also continue to offer online sessions for adults.
Throughout my academic journey, I developed in-depth expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In addition, I completed training in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Play Therapy, and Filial Therapy (child-parent relationship therapy). Currently, I am in the supervision stage of completing my EMDR training.
My therapeutic approach is primarily based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR. Depending on the client’s needs and the nature of the issue, I also incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy for short-term, goal-oriented work. I create a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I aim to support adults in recognizing their thought patterns and developing new skills to empower themselves. My goal is to stand by my clients throughout this journey, helping them build resilience and achieve meaningful growth. I also believe that every individual moves at their own pace, so I ensure that the therapeutic process is flexible and responsive to each client’s unique needs.
