About me

I have a degree in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires and I have more than 30 years of clinical experience. My theoretical framework ranges from the systemic to the cognitive, and I have recently incorporated Mindfulness as a therapeutic tool. I firmly believe that the mission of psychotherapy is to help the patient live better. To do so, it is essential that the work be pragmatic, adapting to the needs of each client and providing them with tools that they can apply to their daily life so that they can recognize their strengths (often forgotten) and thus be able to face the different situations that life presents to us. Therapy should be a welcoming place where the person consulting feels comfortable; where they feel that we work as a team for their benefit, and it is important to be able to implement what they have learned in their daily lives. I enjoy doing interventions from Zen or Stoic philosophy, and presenting the patient with stories from ancient cultures that display wisdom. In many cases I give tasks that may include reading texts from the Internet, watching movies or videos in order to obtain examples and concepts that we can then work on together. I believe that therapy is a dynamic process that should not be limited to the session, but should go beyond it. These resources help make this happen.
