I was 30 years old when I found myself in a personal crisis and ended up sitting across from a therapist. After just a few sessions, I thought: I really want to do your job. At the time, I was working in nursing, so I was used to supporting people, but this was a completely different way of providing help.
During a five-year training programme, I retrained as a Gestalt, Body Mind and Systemic Therapist alongside my job and as a mother of three children. I also learned a great deal about myself during that period. My strength as a therapist is that I am also visible as a person. I sometimes talk about my own life, which I can draw on a lot. Outside of work, I enjoy being in nature, listening to music, going to festivals, and inviting family and friends over for dinner and a good glass of wine. I love celebrating life with the people around me.
In recent years, I have been trained and inspired by Kristin Neff (Mindfulness self-compassion), Els van Steijn (De Fontein) and Elmer Hendrix .My way of working is closely linked to theirs. I learned to take better care of myself and to be kinder to myself. I found the courage to soften the protective layer around my heart. I dare to be vulnerable, kind instead of critical and so strict with myself. I have started to feel and trust my intuition. What freedom!
I combine body-oriented coaching or therapy, family constellations, meditation, trauma work and Gestalt therapy in my work. With this pure form of systemic work, I guide people on their life path.
In April 2022, my husband and I decided to fulfil a long-cherished wish. To create a meaningful place where we would have more space for each other and love. Our diaries would be less full. Following our desire ultimately brought us to a beautiful, powerful place and finca in the middle of nature in Andalusia.
‘The next step on my life path requires me to let go of the familiar and the things I hold dear.’
Sometimes this is only for a short time, and sometimes it requires a more drastic decision.
I am happy to support you in this process.

My strength as a therapist is that, in addition to my 30 years of professional experience, I am also visible as a person. I sometimes talk about my own life, which I can draw on extensively.
Clients describe me as clear, lovingly confrontational, and decisive. I know how to provide a safe context in which vulnerable feelings can also be expressed.
