About me

I'm Malin Rigneus Cerullo, a registered university educated Psychotherapist and Counsellor from Sweden. Having lived in England, Hong Kong, Australia and Norway over the past 20+ years I understand the challenges and opportunities that come with an international life. Over the last eight years in private practise I've supported expats, international professionals, founders, leaders and women in midlife facing stress, anxiety, burnout, loneliness, perfectionism and major life transitions. Before that I worked in HR with international and global businesses assisting employees as far as the job description allowed. These experiences showed me how common hidden struggles really are. Having experienced chronic stress and the early signs of burnout myself, I understand how easy it is to prioritise performance over wellbeing and others needs over your own. This experience inspired me to help others through my compassionate and practical approach to therapy. I also have specialist training in menopause informed psychological care, assisting women navigating hormonal, emotional and identity changes during midlife.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment TherapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.

Three words describing my therapeutic style are empathic, professional and authentic. I thrive on connecting with others, together exploring what is really important to possibly live a more meaningful life. My work is grounded in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These modalities are practical approaches widely used to support anxiety, stress, burnout, perfectionism and low mood. Through our time together we identify how thoughts, behaviours and feelings could be interlinked and impact you. In therapy we work on implementing techniques and strategies to move closer to where you want to be. I work in a collaborative way tailored to your individual goals. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, develop coping strategies and build psychological flexibility so you can possibly move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Whether you’re looking for short-term support or a longer journey, therapy is shaped around your needs and goals, always with your wellbeing at the center. What you can expect. Clients typically experience the following when working with me. ~ Regular goal revisits, to check you're on the right path. ~ A supportive space to reflect, release, talk things through and feel truly listened to; without judging or advise giving. ~ Gain new insights into yourself and the world around you. ~ Lasting changes to the way you feel, think and behave. ~ Practical tools to support and help you move forward. ~ A plan to maintain your progress and overcome future setbacks. Client feedback consistently highlights feeling understood, supported and equipped with practical tools for change.
