About me

Before I began working as a CBT therapist, I spent several years working in hospitality. Being in such a people-focused role taught me a lot about human behaviour, resilience, and connection. It also helped me appreciate how stress, confidence, and mental wellbeing affect us all. During that time, I experienced my own struggles with anxiety. It was a difficult period, and for a long time I tried to manage on my own — but eventually, I reached out for help and started Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

That decision changed my life. Through CBT, I began to understand how my thoughts, feelings, and behaviours were connected, and I learned practical ways to manage my anxiety. The process gave me not only the tools to cope, but also a real sense of hope and confidence in myself again. My experience inspired me to study psychology and go on to train in CBT, so that I could help others in the same way I was helped.

Alongside CBT, I am currently undertaking professional training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy approach commonly used to support trauma, anxiety, distressing memories, and emotional regulation. My integrative approach combines CBT with trauma-informed techniques to help clients process difficult experiences safely and compassionately, while building practical strategies for long-term wellbeing.

I hold a Masters degree in Psychology and have engaged in professional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; I’m also a member of the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies). I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, and stress.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
EMDRRecommended for those dealing with trauma who want to process painful memories in a structured way to reduce their emotional impact.
Somatic coachingRecommended for those who want to use body awareness and movement to release emotional tension and promote personal growth.

My approach is gentle, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s individual needs — because no two journeys are ever the same. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), trauma focused CBT, and EMDR.

CBT is a practical, collaborative approach that helps people understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected. CBT can help you learn how to spot unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with more balanced, constructive ones. This can help you build healthier habits, reduce stress, and create lasting positive change.

I offer Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), as an evidence-based approach specifically designed to help people recover from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Trauma-Focused CBT may be right for you if you experience flashbacks, nightmares, and intrusive memories. Feel constantly alert or on edge, or feel anxious or stuck without understanding why. Our work together is collaborative and compassionate. You will never be forced to talk about anything before you feel ready. Sessions may include learning grounding and calming techniques. Understanding how trauma affects the brain and body, and carefully processing traumatic memories at a pace that feels safe.

I offer Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a therapy designed to help you recover from trauma and reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

If you’ve experienced something overwhelming, your brain may not fully process it at the time. Instead, the memory can feel “stuck,” which can lead to flashbacks, anxiety, or feeling constantly on edge. EMDR helps your brain process these memories properly, so they feel less intense and no longer affect you in the same way.

Finally, I live part time in the UK and part time in Bulgaria. Living abroad can be exciting, but it can also feel isolating, overwhelming, and emotionally draining at times. I am offering online therapy for English-speaking expats living in Bulgaria and across Europe. I support individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, trauma, burnout, loneliness, and difficulties adjusting to life abroad. Many expats struggle with uncertainty, cultural differences, homesickness, relationship pressures, or feeling disconnected from their support networks, even when life outwardly appears positive. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel understood and supported while building a more balanced and fulfilling life abroad.
