About me

I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a certified EMDR practitioner. Over the past several years, I’ve worked with clients facing a wide range of challenges, with a particular focus on healing from childhood trauma, PTSD, and C-PTSD. I also have significant experience supporting men and autistic clients, who can sometimes feel overlooked in traditional therapy spaces.

My approach is flexible and person-centred. Some clients prefer to use EMDR to process trauma, while others benefit from talking therapy — many find that a blend of the two works best. I believe in seeing the individual, not just the problem, and creating a safe environment where you can explore your experiences without judgment.

In addition to private practice, I also support counselling students by offering concessionary therapy sessions and affordable tutoring in person-centred theory. I know starting therapy can feel daunting, so I offer an initial conversation free of charge to help you decide whether I’m the right fit for you.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
EMDRRecommended for those dealing with trauma who want to process painful memories in a structured way to reduce their emotional impact.
Person-centred approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.

My style is collaborative, authentic, and responsive to each client’s needs. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach — instead, I work with you to find the pace and methods that feel most supportive. Clients often describe me as straightforward and down-to-earth, which helps create a relaxed, non-clinical environment where you can feel at ease.

I draw on both EMDR and person-centred therapy. EMDR can be helpful when you’re ready to process traumatic memories, while person-centred work offers space to explore feelings, patterns, and self-understanding. Some people prefer structured trauma processing, others benefit from talking and reflection, and many find that moving between the two works best.

At the heart of my practice is the relationship we build together. I aim to create a safe, genuine connection where you feel understood and supported, so we can get to the root of the difficulties you’re facing. Whether online or in person, my goal is to provide a space that feels real and supportive, where you can begin to make sense of your experiences and move towards lasting change.

Stuck? Join the club. We stay stuck in bad places. We gingerly touch our scars, defend ourselves. We try not to feel our fears and end up not feeling ourselves. Ignore the knot in the stomach. It will go away. Chin up.
