Lisa Meighan

Hi! I am a psychotherapist registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS: 469007). I hold a BPS Approved Certificate in Clinical Supervision and have been in practice for nearly 10 years.

Throughout my years of studies, I have a MSc in Psychology, BSc Psychology (Honours), a level 4 Diploma in Counselling, and a level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have worked 1:1 with individuals in hospital settings and police stations alongside her own private practice. Additionally, I have recently completed a certificate in providing telehealth based services. I have finished training in Sexual Trauma, Grief and Interventions (May 2024) and is a lifelong learner in the field of psychotherapy.

Lisa has a psychotherapy style that is compassionate, empathetic, empowering, non-judgemental and authentic. Lisa uses evidence-based practices in her counselling sessions such as mindfulness-based techniques, identifying and reframing negative thought patterns, and helping individuals reach their potential. She has worked with various mental health issues and life transitions, such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting, grief, divorce, and loneliness.
