About me
Hello everyone! 👋 My name is Barbara A. Camarao, and I'm thrilled to introduce myself as your guide on the path of healing and transformation. Originally from Brazil, I pursued my passion for psychology and adventure by studying clinical psychology in Germany, where I earned one of the top degrees in my year. I then furthered my education in Transpersonal Psychology at IPTB Barcelona and lived in Australia for 2 years, working and traveling. Having had a history of depression and anxiety myself I understand mental illness from both sides.
It has been frustrating for me to see that conventional, modern psychiatry and psychotherapy are oftentimes not enough in healing deep psychological wounds. Because of that I turned to other unconventional methods such as the exploration of ayahuasca/psilocybin and its effects. My mental state has significantly improved and I feel confident in saying that now with the help of psychedelics and transpersonal psychotherapy I am depression-free. As a multilingual therapist, I'm passionate about providing accessible and inclusive care to individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and languages. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space where you can explore your inner landscape, integrate your experiences, and tap into your innate healing and transformative potential. 💚🔑
