About me

My interest in substance use and addiction started when I was 18 and spent a year volunteering in Colombia. That experience showed me how complex the reasons behind substance use can be and how important it is to approach people without judgment.

I later studied Social Work and completed a Master’s degree in Addiction Therapy. Today I work therapeutically with people who want to rethink or change their relationship with substances. I also host the podcast “Psychoaktiv”, where I share science-based perspectives on drugs, substance use and addiction.

In my work, the goal is not to create pressure or impose abstinence. Instead, I focus on understanding your situation and supporting you in finding realistic changes that help you move toward more balance, clarity and autonomy.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
DBT: Dialectical behaviour therapyRecommended for those who want to learn skills to manage intense emotions and improve their relationships, especially if they feel easily overwhelmed.
HypnotherapyRecommended for those who want to use relaxation and hypnosis techniques to explore deeper parts of their mind or break unhealthy habits.
MindfulnessMindfulness is the process of maintaining a purposeful moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surrounding environment.

My therapeutic work is grounded in formal training in addiction therapy and follows an acceptance-based and goal-oriented approach. Change can take different forms – from reducing substance use to abstinence or developing a more conscious relationship with substances.

The focus is always on your individual situation. Together we explore the role substances currently play in your life and what kind of changes might be realistic and meaningful for you.

Another important part of my work is strengthening self-worth and self-efficacy. Many people struggling with substance use experience shame or self-doubt. Therapy can be a space to rebuild trust in yourself and your ability to make decisions about your life.
