About me

I was born in 1974 in Göttingen. I graduated from high school in 1994 at the Insel-Gymnasium in Burg auf Fehmarn. From 1996 to 2004, I studied Human Medicine at the Georg-August University in Göttingen, Universidad de La Laguna in Spain, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA. In 2004, I received my medical license.

Following this, I worked as a resident in Surgery and Medical Informatics. I earned my doctorate (Dr. med.) in 2005 and continued training in Internal and Occupational Medicine. In 2007, I gained a qualification in Medical Informatics, and in 2009, I became a specialist in Occupational Medicine and received a Travel Medical Health Consultancy certificate.

Since 2010, I have been in the international insurance industry, starting at Hannover Rück SE, which included two years in Florida, USA. There, I earned a Plant-Based Nutrition certificate from eCornell University. This sparked my interest in mental health therapy, leading to further training.

Returning to Germany, I worked at E+S Rückversicherung. In 2017, I received a qualification in Nutritional Medicine and became a certified Peak States Therapist. In 2018, I joined Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung as a department manager.

Since 2019, I have been an occupational health physician for a private clinic in southern Germany and started psychotherapy training, which I completed in northern Germany. From 2020 to 2021, I trained as an Inner Unity Therapist.

In February 2022, I opened a private practice for psychotherapy and occupational medicine in Hannover. In January 2024, I will open an additional practice in Frankfurt am Main. My work focuses on psychotherapy, trauma therapy, subcellular psychobiology, and psychoimmunology, and I offer mentoring, coaching and personal development / growth programs. I speak German, English, and Spanish.

My diverse experiences and qualifications enable me to support individuals on their journey towards a fulfilling life.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and commitment therapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CoachingRecommended for those who want support and motivation to achieve personal or professional goals, often with a structured, goal-oriented approach.
EMDRRecommended for those dealing with trauma who want to process painful memories in a structured way to reduce their emotional impact.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.
Schema therapyRecommended for those who want to break out of negative patterns or "schemas" that they developed early in life and keep repeating.

My approach to psychotherapy combines modern scientific methods with personalized strategies to support individuals and companies on their journey toward a conscious and fulfilling life. I aim to equip everyone with the skills to manage their psyche and soul, guiding those who recognize the need for change by providing the necessary tools for transformation.

I offer a wide range of therapy forms, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, schema therapy, ACT, and EMDR, as well as innovative approaches that I find particularly valuable. My practice is almost entirely digital, but I also provide in-person sessions in Hanover and Frankfurt, as well as worldwide online consultations. I am available in German, English, and Spanish, offering my services individually, in groups, and as follow-up treatments. My hybrid therapy concept includes both in-person and online sessions, along with supportive courses and exercises for home use.

The core values of my practice include understanding and empathy, professional competence, availability and flexibility, safety and confidentiality, and solution-oriented approaches. I value cultural and linguistic adaptability, a holistic approach that considers all aspects of well-being, and specializations in specific areas. I strive to convey safety and competence through my empathetic and respectful approach, backed by extensive personal experience.

Furthermore, I offer short-term appointments to prevent minor crises from escalating. My services include psychotherapy, coaching, and mentoring, available in Frankfurt, Hanover, and online. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable and receive the support you need to actively and satisfactorily shape your life.
