I am half dutch, half swedish and grew up in the south of Spain. I am what you can call a Third culture Kid (https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/third-culture-kid).
I studied psychology in the University of Malaga, did an exchange year at the FU in Berlin and worked in a mental institution in Spain before I moved to The Netherlands to follow and internship. I decided to stay in The Netherlands after my intership and have lived there for 10 years, where I have also followed a 4 year training in Gestalt therapy.
I have worked with expats in The Netherlands from all around the world so I am very familiar with cultural differences.
My approach is horizontal, holistic and non judgemental. I don't focus on labels or diagnostic terminology unless requested.
Being a Third Culture Kid and having lived as an expat for 10 year in The Netherlands I am very familiar with the struggles that these circumstances can entail. I have worked with expats in The Netherlands from all around the world so I am very familiar with cultural differences.
As a Gestalt Psychotherapist I feel I can tackle a wide range of issues people might be facing, empowering them to find the best way of increasing their wellbeing.
