I’m Asma Khalid, a clinical psychologist based in Gujranwala, passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges with compassion and clarity. With an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Psychology from the University of Gujrat and a Master’s in Psychology from the Virtual University of Pakistan, I bring a blend of clinical expertise and heartfelt empathy to my work. My experience spans supporting adults and children with addiction and mental health concerns at places like Yasin Clinic and Medcare International Hospital, as well as guiding students as a counselor and teacher at Allied School. These roles have taught me the power of listening deeply and tailoring support to each person’s unique story. Outside the therapy room, I’m inspired by connecting with people from all walks of life and fostering hope through meaningful conversations.
What drives me is creating a safe, welcoming space where you feel truly heard and empowered to grow. Whether you’re facing emotional struggles, seeking recovery, or wanting to build resilience, I’m here to walk alongside you with warmth and understanding. My diverse background, including my tech education (BCS from the University of the Punjab), helps me approach challenges creatively, ensuring our sessions are both practical and transformative. I’m committed to helping you find your path to well-being, no matter where you’re starting from.
My approach is warm, client-centered, and rooted in evidence-based therapies: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. With CBT, I help you uncover and shift unhelpful thought patterns, making it easier to manage anxiety, depression, or addiction. DBT is my go-to for navigating intense emotions or relationship difficulties, using mindfulness and practical skills to find balance. Solution-Focused Therapy keeps things forward-looking, tapping into your goals and strengths to create quick, actionable steps toward change.
In our sessions, I prioritize building trust and understanding your unique needs—whether you’re an adult, child, or family. I keep things open and collaborative, blending psychoeducation and skill-building to empower you. My goal is to make therapy feel like a safe haven where you can be yourself, explore freely, and leave feeling stronger and more hopeful.
