I'm Tidal Grace, a psychotherapist based in Hamburg. I've been practising for more than fifteen years, and I work with adults all over the world. My sessions are audio only, no camera, no video. That format is deliberate. For clients dealing with dissociation, depersonalization, or living in places where privacy matters, being able to close your eyes, lie down, or talk while walking changes what's possible in the room. The work is about what's happening inside you, not how you look while doing it.
I'm Canadian/British by background, trained integratively, and registered with the BDP (Bundesverband Deutscher Psychologinnen und Psychologen) in Germany. I've spent years specializing in depersonalization and derealization, and I've written a book about the condition (Reclaiming Reality) and produced an audio course (DP/DR First-Aid) for people working through it. I also work with anxiety, complex trauma, long-standing relationship patterns, and the quiet depressions that don't always look like depression from the outside.
Alongside clinical work, I'm also an artist and writer, which shapes how I listen. I pay attention to language, to what's underneath what you're saying, to the parts of your experience that don't fit the usual categories. My clients come from across Europe, the Gulf, North America, and Asia, often from places where the right kind of therapist isn't locally available. The work I offer isn't packaged. It's collaborative, direct, and built around what you actually need.
I also offer Relationship Clarity Sessions for couples. These are 80-minute audio-only sessions for couples stuck in repeating patterns, ambivalence, or considering separation. The goal is not to save the relationship at all costs, but to see clearly what is driving the loop. Sometimes that leads to repair, sometimes to a conscious, respectful separation. I draw on Internal Family Systems and Gestalt to slow the couple's interaction down so both partners can actually hear what is being said.
