I'm a trained clinical psychologist who had lived in Sweden and Italy for an important length of a time and currently living in Istanbul, Turkey. Living abroad gave me the chance to observe and experience cultural aspects of approach to mental health.
I have worked with refugees for 3 years in a clinical setting. Beside counselling in individual sessions, I have constructed child friendly space activities for children with our PSS (psychosocial support) team in the health center. These activities designed to support refugee children's psychosocial development. You may find additional information regarding my educational and professional background in the following sections.
"Human" is the center point of the methods that I use during a therapy session. I have trained for 4 years to become a psychologist with CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) orientation. Then got my accreditation on psychotherapy with psychoanalytical approach after completing 2 years of my master degree. With experiences from these differential approaches, I may say that I have adopted a holistic approach which puts humanistic considerations at the center and feed it by methods from CBT and psychoanalysis.
