About me

I am a Jungian analytical psychotherapist. I practice Jungian psychotherapy, which is a type of psychoanalytic psychotherapy. In my practice, I also incorporate elements of transpersonal psychotherapy and art therapy. I completed my studies in Jungian analysis/psychotherapy in September 2024 at the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), and I am awaiting the title of Jungian Analyst at the IAAP Congress in Zürich in September 2025. My studies were supported by the Slovenian Association for Analytical Psychology (SZAP), based in Ljubljana. I completed also a diploma in counseling with the IPAL method (a method combining the knowledge of analytical psychology, psychological astrology, and alchemy) at the IPAL Institute in Ljubljana on the topic of intergenerational trauma. I finished my training in psychotherapeutic propedeutics at Sigmund Freud University in Ljubljana in 2019. I have a Master of Arts degree from the University of Ljubljana (2012). Additionally, I have finished also the first year of training in Psychedelic Psychotherapy at the Rabbit Hole Institute in Ljubljana in 2022 and am interested in the ways Jungian psychotherapy can offer support to deep transpersonal, spiritual, and unconscious processes. I have completed a Jungian psychoanalytic individual training process (over 300 hours) and more than 150 hours of group and individual supervision. I regularly update my knowledge through professional seminars and conferences in Slovenia and abroad. I am receiving supervision from a range of accredited Jungian analysts when needed. I continuously educate myself in the field of transpersonal psychotherapy and various therapeutic approaches related to art (such as working with clay in psychotherapy, using projection cards, sand-play therapy, the use of metaphors in psychotherapy, mindfulness, and creativity).

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Art therapyGood for those who feel more comfortable expressing emotions through creativity and want to explore their feelings through art rather than talking.
Holistic approachGood for those who want to address their mental health through a balanced focus on mind, body, and spirit.
Jungian analysisGood for those interested in diving deep into their unconscious mind to better understand themselves and grow emotionally.
I believe in the healing power of the unconscious, symbols and the psyche of each individual, which is triggered by staying long enough in relationship with the psychotherapist and the images and opposites that arise in his/her unconscious. During my studies, I dedicated significant attention to early relational trauma and the concept of complex trauma (C-PTSD by Judith Herman) and its consequences. Among other things, I explored how early relational trauma manifests in individuals and in psychotherapy, as well as how it impacts mental health. Healing the "mother wound" (Webster) often represents a long-term, deep self-exploration, requiring individuals to commit to understanding the root causes of their symptoms. In this process, we frequently encounter concepts such as high sensitivity, various addictions, depression, existential anxiety, inferiority complexes, and low self-esteem. According to numerous studies (Bessel van der Kolk), treating complex trauma is a true "epidemic of modern society." The mother wound is often an intergenerational phenomenon, which is why I am very interested in raising awareness both in Slovenia and in the border region where I live and work. To this end, in 2022, I founded Zavod Epiona - Epiona Institute, a center for lifelong learning through symbols and art.
