I have always been on the go since I was very young due to some health issues. This led me to study in the US during my formative years, complete my bachelor's degree back home in Honduras, and later become a trained Clinical Psychologist in Barcelona, Spain. Traveling extensively has given me the honor of meeting people from diverse cultures and realizing that we are more alike than we think. It has also made me sensitive to individuals and minorities who often go unnoticed and need support.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), focusing on helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
I focus a lot on immigrants and provide therapy in English and Spanish. For immigrants dealing with anxiety and depression due to their move, I provide a supportive and empathetic environment where we can work together to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and build resilience to navigate the challenges of adjusting to a new culture and environment.
For children and adolescents experiencing anxiety or depression, I create a safe and understanding space to address their unique challenges. By using CBT techniques, we can explore their thoughts and emotions, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and enhance their self-esteem and confidence to better manage the difficulties they face during this crucial stage of their lives.
