About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 11 years of experience working with adolescents and adults, specializing in helping individuals navigate complex life challenges with compassion and care. My approach is rooted in relational and trauma-informed therapy, emphasizing the importance of building a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel understood and valued. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship to foster healing, resilience, and meaningful change.

In my practice, I focus on supporting clients through issues such as anxiety, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I also have a deep commitment to neurodiversity and cultural sensitivity, tailoring my approach to respect each person’s unique background and strengths. Through therapy, I aim to empower clients to reconnect with themselves, build healthier relationships, and find new pathways to personal growth.

I am native bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing me to offer multilingual therapy to better serve a diverse community. My work is dedicated to creating a space where clients feel empowered, open to new possibilities, and supported in their journey toward a fuller, more balanced life.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Clinical psychologyRecommended for those who need help with diagnosing and treating more complex mental health issues, often involving assessments and evidence-based treatments.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.
Trauma informed careRecommended for those who have experienced trauma and need a safe, supportive space to heal at their own pace.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in relational psychotherapy, focusing on the importance of the therapeutic relationship as a space for healing and growth. I believe that meaningful change occurs when clients feel truly seen, heard, and valued. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, deepen their self-awareness, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

In our work together, I pay close attention to both past and present relational patterns, exploring how these influence clients' current experiences and relationships. Through this process, clients gain insight into underlying dynamics that may be holding them back, allowing for new, more adaptive ways of connecting and communicating. I emphasize collaboration and respect in our sessions, encouraging clients to share openly as we work together to develop strategies that foster resilience and personal growth.

I also integrate a trauma-informed perspective, recognizing that past experiences can impact how we relate and respond to life’s challenges. My approach is compassionate and flexible, tailored to each individual’s unique needs and strengths, with the goal of empowering clients to navigate life’s complexities with greater clarity, confidence, and connection.

Experience

11 years in practice

I currently work as a Global Mental Health Provider with Spring Health and as an International Mental Health Provider with Modern Health, where I offer clinical psychological support to adolescents and adults worldwide. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive, designed to meet the diverse needs of each client.

Since 2015, I have maintained a Private Practice in Santiago Chile, and founded But First, Cafecito, a multilingual online therapy practice that provides trauma-sensitive support to clients internationally. My previous experience includes working with individuals facing complex trauma in the Trauma Unit at the Relational Therapy Center CeTeRe and providing psychotherapy at various mental health centers in Chile.

Education

I hold a Professional Degree in Psychology from Diego Portales University (2011), where I graduated summa cum laude and ranked fourth in my class. My thesis focused on understanding emotional connections to food and explored psychological representations associated with obesity. Additionally, I earned a Social Sciences and Humanities Degree from the same university in 2006, also graduating summa cum laude and ranked third.

I have completed multiple advanced certifications to deepen my clinical expertise, including a Diploma in Multidisciplinary Clinical Approach for Adults on the Autism Spectrum (2024), a Certification Program in Relational Psychoanalysis: Theory and Clinical Practice (2020), and a Training Diploma in Systemic Therapy for Children and Adolescents (2015). These qualifications have strengthened my trauma-informed and relational approach to psychotherapy,
