About me

I am a trained counselling psychologist from Hungary with a passion for helping individuals navigate their personal journeys. My original training in person centered counselling exposed me to the transformative power of empathy and understanding. Building on that foundation, I have further developed my skills in cognitive-behavioural hypnotherapy, ACT, and schema therapy.

I have been living in Switzerland for the past 10 years and initially worked in a multinational environment, providing support to teens, parents, and staff members. This experience has granted me valuable insights and a deep understanding of working with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. While I primarily focus on the present and future during our work together, my rich background enables me to understand and see you as a whole with your past history, narratives, dynamics, and maladaptive coping strategies. Throughout my career, I have assisted individuals facing a wide range of difficulties. My current specialization lies in helping individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, grief and loss, relationship management, transitions, and crisis intervention.

In my practice, I believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Instead, I tailor my methods to your specific needs and circumstances. Your journey is unique, and it is important for me to accompany you while respecting your pace and the process you are going through. Together, we will work hand in hand to explore your life stories and narratives, discovering a more flexible, adaptable, and multifaceted narrative that aligns with your own set of values.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation to determine if I am the appropriate professional to assist you.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and commitment therapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
HypnotherapyRecommended for those who want to use relaxation and hypnosis techniques to explore deeper parts of their mind or break unhealthy habits.

My approach is centered around understanding the complexities of thinking and underlying schemas. By exploring the cognitive patterns that influence beliefs and behaviours, I guide individuals towards reframing self-limiting thoughts, empowering them to achieve personal growth. I provide a supportive space for you to explore and process your emotions. I believe it is crucial for you to learn to experience your emotions and develop the capacity to hold space for them. During our sessions, I incorporate experimental techniques rooted in mindfulness and hypnosis, when appropriate, to help enhance your coping skills. I believe that these techniques can offer valuable tools for personal growth and development. In the journey of self-discovery, it's crucial to approach yourself with kindness and understanding. I believe that fostering a compassionate relationship with oneself can be a catalyst for profound transformation. Additionally, I place great importance on ensuring that you begin to witness tangible changes in your life as a result of our work together. We live our lives through actions, and sometimes making a change in one area can provide a boost in self-efficacy, enabling better coping with other elements of life.
