We can feel better with the right support. I’m passionate about helping people through their difficulties, facilitating growth and well-being. You can expect a direct and kind approach from someone who loves this work.
As a portuguese clinical psychologist, I work with adults and teenagers through private practice Online, in Saldanha and in Algés (at Positivamente, which translates to Positively). I am also a certified yoga teacher, musician and for 10 years I was a tutor and babysitter.
I believe in the power of a connected, genuine and warm therapeutic relationship, as a door to personal reflection, transformation and growth. I view you as the expert of your own life, so I focus on attuning with your lived experience and undoing aloneness. I help guide this emotional process by asking questions, offering tools, hugs and understanding.
As the daughter of a clinical psychologist, I’ve always had contact with this line of work and have felt inspired by its transformational potential. In my personal life, I love to spend time with people and solo, in nature, making art and moving my body. I have my own psychologist and he greatly supports my human growth, as well as my clinical practice.
We work together for you to create the change you want in your life.
I hold a safe space and welcome all parts of you, with curiosity, empathy and acceptance, helping you build self-compassion and experience emotional regulation and transformation.
You can expect me to have an open and understanding attitude, to be validating and to respectfully challenge you, at your own pace. Our sessions will be a time for you to slow down and tune into yourself.
I am deeply influenced by trauma-informed and somatic approaches (body based methods to process psychological experiences), which is supported by my yoga teaching experience.
Currently, I’m working with adults and teenagers in private practice (OPP Psychologist nº 32243), Online and In-Person at Positivamente (Algés) and Consultórios em Lisboa (Saldanha). I concluded a clinical psychology internship at the Community Support Service of FP-UL, working with various patients through individual psychotherapy sessions.
I co-created a new research project for my masters thesis, where I interviewed one participant throughout 5 months about how his psychedelic experiences integrated in psychotherapy contributed to personal transformation and growth “When the Client Does the Integrating: a Phenomenological Case Study of the Integration of a Psychedelic Journey in Daily Life and Psychotherapy”.
I have a Masters in Clinical and Health Psychology with Cognitive-Behavioral and Integrative specialization, at Faculty of Psychology - University of Lisbon (FP-UL). I've been focusing on additional education in trauma, addictions (with and without substances), psychedelics and relationships. I've also been expanding my knowledge on body-based interventions or somatic therapy frameworks, such as Internal Family Systems, Emotion Focused Therapy and AEDP.
