About me

I’m a systemic therapist trained in the University of Lisbon with a Masters by the Autonomous University of Barcelona and internship in NYC. I specialised in trauma studies with Harvard University and the Trauma Research Foundation (Boston). Currently studying EMDR. I worked in several countries and speak fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese. Currently based in Lisbon, Portugal.

Approach

I use a holistic approach to understand my clients sociopolitical context, relational network, identify and lifestyle and use diverse methodologies to identify areas of improvement and ways of healing. I do not pathologize but rather try to find meaning for the behavioural issues that may be currently bringing pain or discomfort, and gently try to guide clients to trying alternatives. Currently have been experimenting with EMDR to help clients improve present symtpoms while also reprocessing past memories.
