I am a Chartered clinical and health psychologist with over 10 years of experience working in mental health institution. I have worked as a lead clinical psychologist at the mental health clinic in Nigeria, where I specialized in treating individuals with complex psychological conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and chronic health-related mental health issues. I have a deeper passion for a holistic approach to mental health, integrating psychological therapy with lifestyle interventions to support overall well-being.
I completed my Masters degree in psychology at the University of Ibadan Nigeria, where I developed a strong foundation in cognitive-behavioral theory and research methods. I obtained my first PhD degree in health psychology from the University of Gloucestershire England, where I focused my research on the relationship between chronic illness (Diabetes) and mental health. I further earned my second PhD degree in child clinical psychology from the University of Copenhagen Denmark, where I research on the internally displaced Adolescents traumatic experiences, coping resources and coping strategies.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based treatments such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma focused therapy (TFT), and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). My work with clients often involves addressing the psychological impact of chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, and autoimmune disorders, and helping them develop strategies to manage stress and improve quality of life.
