About me

My training in Psychology, along with a Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology with a specialization in Psychoanalysis, has shaped the way I understand human experience: as complex, layered, and deeply influenced by relationships. Throughout my clinical work, I have supported individuals facing emotional difficulties, life transitions, and internal conflicts that can sometimes feel hard to name or understand. I am particularly interested in how past experiences and relationships continue to shape the way we feel, think, and relate in the present. As a therapist, I value creating a space where you can feel genuinely listened to and accepted, without pressure or judgment. I approach each person with curiosity, respect, and sensitivity to their unique story, believing that meaningful change begins with feeling understood.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Clinical psychologyRecommended for those who need help with diagnosing and treating more complex mental health issues, often involving assessments and evidence-based treatments.
PsychoanalysisRecommended for those who want to explore how their unconscious mind and early experiences affect their current behaviors and feelings.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.
My work is grounded in a relational and psychodynamic approach, where the therapeutic relationship itself becomes an important space for reflection, understanding, and change. I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, so I adapt my way of working to each person’s needs, rhythm, and goals. In our sessions, I focus on listening carefully—not only to what is said, but also to what may be harder to express. Together, we explore emotions, patterns, and experiences, helping you make sense of them in a way that feels meaningful and manageable. Rather than offering quick solutions, I aim to support a deeper process of self-awareness and emotional integration. This can help you develop a clearer understanding of yourself, improve your relationships, and feel more grounded and connected in your life.

Experience

I completed a one-year clinical internship in a primary healthcare center in Lisbon, where I provided psychological support to individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults. My work also included supporting informal caregivers and working with pregnant women, which allowed me to develop a broad and sensitive understanding of different life stages and challenges. I later completed a one-year professional internship, focusing primarily on adult clients. During this time, I worked with individuals facing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including those experiencing significant life stressors and complex personal circumstances. Currently, I work as a psychologist in both an organizational setting and in private practice, providing individual psychological support. My clinical work continues to focus on creating a thoughtful and consistent therapeutic space, grounded in a relational and psychodynamic approach.
