As a therapist, my job is to help improve my patients' quality of life. I welcome behaviours and thoughts, and we work together to make everyday life easier and more functional.
As a therapist, I work with adults and adolescents through my private online practice. In addition to being a therapist, I am also a musician (piano) and passionate about sports, especially surfing.
I believe that a person is much more than just a personality or a collection of traits. Each one of us is unique, and therefore, every person seeking therapy deserves and is worthy of a personalized therapeutic approach, based on their current situation and experience. Grounded in the core values of change and empathy and rooted in empirical and theoretical knowledge, the therapeutic process should be “tailored” to you, your needs, and your goals. I believe that change is always possible, even if it requires great effort. My work and my mission are to facilitate the process of change and help guide you along the way.
Being a therapist is a privilege and a responsibility to which I am committed and which I strive to honor every day. I believe that a therapeutic relationship that is genuine, warm, and based on connection is a powerful tool for change, transformation, and growth. No one knows you better than you do, so I strive to align myself with your perspective, experience and live contexts.
My work is guided by an integrative lens, based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and using tools and approaches from other theoretical models, in a cohesive and coherent manner to best meet your needs. I work with models like DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy). All the work is based on empirical knowledge and supported on scientific evidence. Together, we decide your goals, what you'd like to change and where you want to get, and choose the best way to meet those marks. The end goal is to get long lasting changes/results and a stable sense of well being.
There is always space for mutual feedback about the sessions and the therapeutic process as well. You should feel safe and comfortable in session, so any kind of input is always welcomed and can be discussed and worked on during the sessions.
