As your therapist, I’ll help and support you uncover patterns shaping your life. Together, we’ll work toward connecting with your true self, empowering you to achieve clarity and control over your behaviors.
My journey to becoming a psychotherapist began a few years back following a 24-year career in pastoral care within education. During that time, within lead advocacy and supportive roles, I worked closely with children, young adults and their families. It was during the pandemic that I began to recognise that I might be better placed working adults and thus began my journey into becoming a psychotherapist. From personal experience, I understand how daunting and scary starting a therapeutic journey can be, especially with some of the stereotypes and stigmas surrounding it. I learnt that therapy isn't just for times of crisis, it is also about enhancing your ability to recognise, understand and manage your own emotions. For me it was and continues to be a game-changer. It leads to better communication, stronger relationships and overall better quality of life.
Different faces, places and timelines shape our narratives but the emotional scars remain familiar, the deep need to belong, the piercing sting of rejection, the fear of inadequacy, the quiet hope for love and the grief of what has been lost. Sitting with someone as they face the good, the bad and the ugly of their truths is a privilege to me. I provide a safe, confidential and judgment-free space and working at your pace, together, we will explore the roots of your challenges, uncover your inner strength and develop strategies to navigate life's complexities.
