Regarding my academic and professional experience, I am an accredited Psychologist, Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. In recent years I have been living and working in London, England. Currently, I am training in the three-year master's program in Psychoanalysis and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at Birkbeck University in London and in combination is in a supervised internship in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at a London institute.Additionally, I am an accredited psychologist and I hold a master's degree in Health Psychology from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. I have attended programs and I hold certifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a diploma in clinical practice in Mental Health, I also hold a diploma in Integrative Counselling and I am currently a trainee of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. In addition, I have been trained under supervision in University hospitals both of Greece and United Kingdom as a psychologist and also as trained psychotherapist, participating in psychometric procedures and sessions with adults in a wide range of psychological difficulties such as anxiety disorders and panic attacks, depression, psychosomatic problems, chronic illness, obsessions/compulsions (OCD), post-traumatic stress, eating and sleeping disorders, etc. In recent years I have been working in England as a psychologist/consultant in various structures, providing psychological support to vulnerable groups as well as people with various psychological difficulties.
Based on my academic qualifications and professional experience, my aim is to develop a therapeutic relationship of trust, respect and understanding with the clients and to create a therapeutic framework based on the ethical values and guidelines of the profession of psychodynamic psychotherapy and integrative counselling. According to my qualifications in psychology, counselling and psychodynamic psychotherapy, I work based on counseling and psychotherapy methods and psychodynamic skills to help people who seek counselling develop a better understanding and recognition of their feelings, thoughts and behaviours, strengthen their confidence and self-concept and acquire the appropriate skills to improve their quality of life.I also focus on psychodynamic psychotherapy values such as active listening, reflection, empathy, emotional understanding to create a therapeutic relationship of trust, respect and facilitate individuals to achieve their therapeutic goals.
