After a long career as a management consultant, I felt an increasing desire to help people and give back to society. So I retrained as a psychotherapist and, despite finding this challenging, have greatly enjoyed doing this. Based in London, I have experienced life’s ups and downs and share learnings for clients where they are helpful. I passionately believe these can be overcome with caring, empathetic, non-judgemental and practical support. This brings around positive change to help us move on, achieve our personal goals, enjoy life to its fullest and experience joy.
Simply put, it is to understand the origins of the negative emotion (e.g. Anxiety, Anger, Depression, Shame, Guilt, Jealousy etc,.) and the underlying unhealthy beliefs that cause this. A healthier belief set is built and exercises are used to fundamentally shift the way clients thin. I also help clients develop resilience and tools (e.g. managing thoughts, breathing techniques and mindfulness) to help relax.
The first steps are to listen, fully understand you as a person, then assess your emotions and problems. Together, we agree clear goals and work to meet these through straight talking, some challenge and homework. I am keen to build a solid relationship with each client based on empathy, trust and much care. Feel free to contact for an initial chat.
Achieving results for clients, and preventing disturbance again, matters to me.
