About me

I am an experienced psychotherapist and a doctoral researcher in psychoanalytic and psychosocial studies working with adults with many issues such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, ADHD, PTSD, trauma, low self-esteem, family issues, low self-confidence, Autism, stress, feeling sad, addiction, anger management, emotional abuse, health anxiety, panic attacks, separation and divorce, dissociation, neurodiversity and difficult childhood experiences. Sometimes, you might feel dissatisfied or stuck in your life without understanding why. During these moments, psychotherapy can provide valuable support.

I am a psychoanalytically oriented psychodynamic psychotherapist, which means I will explore with you how experiences and early relationships may impact how you live in the present and how you form relationships around you and make choices. Therapy is a journey of exploring yourself collaboratively to reach a deeper understanding of yourself. It is a process over time and can help to bring about lasting changes in your life and enable you to live more fully, with more acceptance and more freedom. From time to time, we question our feelings, behaviours, relationships, and intentions in life. I offer an intimate space for speaking and listening, where these conflicting questions can be safely discovered.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CoachingRecommended for those who want support and motivation to achieve personal or professional goals, often with a structured, goal-oriented approach.

Psychotherapy

I offer time-limited and open-ended psychodynamic psychotherapy. We meet once or more weekly in an open-ended work, while time-limited psychotherapy can last for 8 or 12 weeks. It can benefit many people by developing new ways of thinking, improving mood, reducing stress and worry, and providing support when facing life challenges. It can help identify thinking and belief patterns linked to emotional distress and concerning behaviour.

Coaching

I provide neurodiversity coaching, which focuses on developing skills and strategies based on your strengths. This typically lasts between 6 and 12 sessions, during which we identify the focus of our work together. If you're interested in coaching, please get in touch with me to arrange a phone call, as the fees and structure differ from my clinical service.

My fee for clinical services is £95 a session. However, I am open to offering a sliding-scale fee structure. This means that if you are in a situation where you cannot afford the full fee, we can discuss a reduced rate based on your financial circumstances. Please don't hesitate to ask about this. Part of the reason I set a high standard fee is to offset seeing some patients at a very significantly reduced rate. I am especially open to sliding my fee for BPOC, psychotherapy trainees and other healthcare professionals.

This is a safe space for queer/trans folks and activists in the social and political sphere.

I work from a culturally sensitive perspective and have a particular interest in helping people navigate issues of biculturalism, immigration and oppressive social structures.
