I moved to the UK in early 1994. I left my home country thirty years ago while I had started my Masters degree in English Literature. In the UK I brought 2 children into this word and went to university in Sep.2004 but this time in Counselling& Psychotherapy. I never forget the very first time I attended in university. It felt I was at home and ever since I constantly enjoyed my work and even after 18 years working in this field still enjoy talking and understanding my clients. I have worked with many different people; from high flyers to refugees and asylum seekers. All added to my knowledge and understanding as I believe human being is as complex as it can be. I started my private practice since 2010 at the same time I was working as a volunteer counsellor in a refugee centre. After pandemic I started working at home and since then I kept seeing my clients online.
My approach is integrative which means that I can draw upon a number of different psychotherapeutic approaches in order to best support you as you explore and process the issues you bring to sessions. The foundation of my practice is Person-Centred, in which you are trusted as the expert in your life, and so are the best person to know which decisions are best for you. The therapy centres the facilitation of a trusting and nurturing therapeutic environment in which you can explore your issues, reflect, and receive gentle challenges. The integrative approach also states that there may be certain approaches that fit you better, and so I draw upon knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural, Mindfulness, Existential and Psychodynamic approaches. The integrative approach is a collaborative process in which we work together to identify therapeutic goals, discuss preferences for therapeutic approaches and review your sense of the therapeutic process regularly. You will gain a deeper understanding of who you are and what you want from your life which will help you to reconnect to yourself, improve your self-confidence and self-worth and reduce anxiety. Try me.
