About me

My name is Natali and I've been a professional musician/songwriter for most of my life. My background gives me the space to be creative in my therapeutic work and I enjoy exploring the ways of how one is present in their own life to enable mind, body and spirit to come together as a whole. Friends and family describe me as an authentic person, open, relaxed and non judgmental. In my free time I do yoga and because I grew up by the sea and own a skipper licence I am in love with sailing and everything connected to it. I live and work both in the UK and Croatia, online and in person. This gives me a chance to connect with people from different cultural backgrounds and keeps my mind always open, respectful and nonjudgmental to whatever stories they bring to therapy. I am experienced in working with anxiety, depression, trauma and grief, panic attacks, substance abuse, low self-esteem, anger and borderline/narcissistic personality disorder. I am also licenced to work with children and adolescents.

Approach

We are all vulnerable in today’s stressful world; it is not uncommon to feel lost or confused from time to time, or to experience symptoms, unhelpful behaviours or a lack of confidence. Whatever your reason for making contact, psychotherapy can help you understand what you are going through and support you as you face difficult thoughts and feelings. It is a unique experience for everyone but starts with sitting together in a private space and talking about whatever feelings and thoughts you wish to bring. As children we internalize behaviours that help us survive some great pain or our unmet needs. Quite often these patterns stop doing us good at some point in life and make it difficult to move on. In therapy we use awareness as a tool to reintegrate these past experiences and get a better understanding of ourselves and the relationships we create with others. My approach is intuitive, practical and holistic and quite often solution based when it comes to working with young people. I strongly believe we all have everything we need to heal inside ourselves. SOME CONCEPTS OF GESTALT THERAPY AND HOW IT HELPS: Personal responsibility - A key goal in Gestalt therapy is to allow clients the opportunity to own and accept their experiences. In blaming others, we lose our sense of control and become victim to the event or the other person involved in the event. Gestalt therapy encourages people to challenge those old ways of how we may have created meaning about an experience. Learning how to accept and embrace personal responsibility allows us to gain a greater sense of control in their experiences and to learn how to better regulate our emotions and interactions with the world.
