Welcome, I’m Luiza - bilingual English/Polish speaking Psychotherapist based in the UK. I offer compassionate, focused, and evidence-based treatment for anxiety, trauma & PTSD and relationship difficulties.
I bring a rare and deeply authentic combination of professional training and lived experience to my work. I’m not just a therapist who has studied trauma — I’ve lived it. I draw on both professional expertise and lived experience of trauma, which helps me meet clients with honesty, depth, and real understanding. My clients often say they feel seen, not just treated — and that’s my intention.
Born and raised in an Eastern European country, I bring a culturally sensitive perspective to my work and strive to foster inclusive, respectful therapeutic spaces. I am also able to provide therapy in my native language - Polish. I hold full professional indemnity insurance and adhere to all codes of conduct of my accrediting bodies. Working collaboratively and building meaningful connections are at the heart of my professional values, and I am genuinely passionate about making a difference in the lives of those I work with.
My approach blends trauma-informed CBT, EMDR therapy, mindfulness practice, and self-compassion. I draw on both professional expertise and lived experience of trauma, which helps me meet clients with honesty, depth, and real understanding. My clients often say they feel seen, not just treated — and that’s my intention.
I use active, practical tools that create real change:
I help you not just to understand patterns, but to shift them. Practicing skills that move you from suffering to action - from blindly following your echoing past to genuine freedom. Every session is trauma-sensitive and grounded in safety, trust, and empowerment.
I work a unique method - the SAFE Method™ (Self-Awareness • Acceptance • Facing • Embodiment) — a mindfulness-based, body-focused framework supporting high-achieving adults to overcome overthinking, self-criticism, and perfectionism.
I have 15+ years of experience in both the NHS and private practice, supporting adults through anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, and relationship challenges. I currently work within a major London NHS Trust, providing trauma-sensitive therapy to healthcare staff exposed to critical incidents. I also offer clinical supervision for counsellors and psychologists.
I adhere to the professional codes of ethics of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA), and EMDR UK.
If you're looking for effective treatment for trauma or PTSD, therapy for anxiety, or a trauma-sensitive, online CBT therapist, I’m here to help you take the next step.
I have worked for over 15 years in the British NHS Services in both the primary and secondary care (providing support for more severe mental health difficulties and complex trauma). I have most recently been supporting NHS staff in overcoming their trauma and prevent burnout as a result of working in an extremely stressful environment while supporting patients. I have extensive experience in work with corporate clients and provided Mindfulness training sessions to both individuals and groups. I also offer supervision and consultation to fellow psychotherapist who are qualified or receive training.
