About me

I specialise in working with adults (18+) who are having challenges related to self-esteem, relationships, sense of belonging, self-doubt, feel up and down emotions, anxiety, struggle with self-acceptance, and resentment. I'm passionate about working with those who have had a difficult start in life and are living with the impact of adverse childhood experiences. In addition to my private counselling practice I work for the National Healthcare Service, at the Wellbeing and Recovery College, supporting students and delivering courses on a range of mental wellbeing topics. I initially trained as a Speech and Language Therapist, and worked in Neurology within the NHS for about 9 years. I always had an interest in psychology and behaviour which further developed while working in the healthcare service. This passion brought me to re-train and qualify as an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor. I was born in Italy and I lived in London for almost 20 years. I speak both English and Italian fluently. People say I'm approachable and warm. I love nature, and I have an interest in dance, singing, painting and all things creative.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Integrative therapy Recommended for those who prefer a flexible approach that combines different therapies to meet their unique needs.
Person-centered approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.
Psychodynamic therapyRecommended for those looking to explore their emotions deeply and understand how past experiences shape their present life.
I understand that taking the step to approach a therapist can be challenging in itself. I want to reassure you that I will bring genuine care for your well-being and I am committed to build a relationship with you based on trust, empathy, honesty, and openness, and create a safe and confidential space to allow you to be yourself. There can be many different reasons that may bring someone to seek therapy. Sometimes it's something new and sometimes it's something which has been with us for a while. Perhaps you are struggling at work or in your personal life, feel overwhelmed and conflicted. You may be averse to taking risks, or commit in relationships, and feel stuck. If you are experiencing any of these thoughts or feelings, I would be happy to support you in finding more clarity and improving your relationship with yourself and the world. I'm here to listen to you, and help you making sense of your feelings and story. I will offer you empathy, acceptance, and a genuine commitment to support you in your journey to you. My integrative approach means that I will adapt the work to your goals and needs and will do my best to meet you where you are in your thoughts, feelings and experience. I offer therapy sessions on a long term and open end basis. Short term may also be negotiated, depending on your needs. I currently offer sessions online and face to face. I offer an initial 50 minutes video/phone introductory call (fee applies) which gives us the chance to meet, discuss some of your concerns, tell you more about my approach and provide you with more information on the process of starting therapy.
