I am an integrative psychotherapist and the founder of Navío Counselling & Psychotherapy, where I provide a grounded, supportive, and affirming space for individuals to navigate their inner worlds. The name "Navío" refers to a vessel or ship, reflecting my belief that therapy is a collaborative journey of navigation. Whether you are struggling with a specific crisis or a general sense of being stuck, I work with you to uncover the unconscious patterns—rooted in your past and your relationships—that may be influencing your present. My approach is supportive yet challenging, meaning I provide the safety needed to explore deep-seated shame or fear, while gently encouraging the insights necessary for meaningful change.
My practice is deeply informed by my identity as a queer person, my multicultural background and a prior career in marketing and communications within the charitable and educational sectors. This background, combined with a BA in Sociology and an MA in Psychotherapy, allows me to view your challenges through both psychological and systemic lenses. I understand the unique pressures of high-stress work environments and the complexities of living between different cultures or identities. Having worked internationally, I am particularly attuned to the nuances of belonging, identity, and displacement.
I offer therapy in both English and Spanish and am committed to LGBTQIA+ affirmative, sex-positive, and Kink-allied practice. I have extensive experience working with clients on issues ranging from relationship challenges and childhood trauma to workplace stress and racial identity. By examining the parts of yourself that feel unheard or misunderstood, we can work together to gain clarity and move toward a more authentic way of living. I currently see clients online and in person at my practices in Islington, Hackney, and London Bridge.
