My approach is relational, psychodynamic, and collaborative. I believe therapy offers a rare space to pause, reflect, and make sense of the patterns and emotions that shape our lives, both consciously and unconsciously. Together we explore what may feel confusing, painful, or stuck, so that new understanding and possibilities can emerge.
My work is guided by curiosity, honesty, and respect for each client’s individual story. I aim to create a warm, grounded space in which thoughts and feelings can be explored without judgment. While my foundation is psychodynamic, I work intuitively and adapt my approach to the person in front of me. Sometimes that means exploring early relationships and formative experiences. At other times, it means attending closely to what is happening in the present, including the subtle shifts in tone, mood, and connection that can reveal deeper emotional truths.
Having spent more than twenty-five years in communications, leadership, and advocacy roles, I bring a sensitivity to the complex emotional terrain of high-performance and public-facing environments. I understand the tension that can exist between outer success and inner fulfilment, and how it can feel to appear confident, accomplished, and in control while internally managing anxiety, doubt, or exhaustion. My experience allows me to work fluently with professionals, leaders, artists, and entrepreneurs who are navigating visibility, pressure, or transitions in their personal and professional lives.
Alongside psychotherapy, I offer bespoke sessions in PR strategy, career development, and professional guidance for clients seeking a more integrated approach to personal and professional growth. These sessions may include questions of identity, purpose, leadership, communication, or alignment between inner values and outward expression. In this work, psychological insight and practical strategy come together to help clients reconnect with authenticity, creativity, and a sense of agency in both their public and private lives.
As a Black therapist, I bring an attuned understanding of culture, identity, and belonging to my work. I recognise how race, gender, and social context can shape emotional experience, and I hold space for clients who wish to explore these dimensions of their lives. My aim is to create an environment where difference can be thought about, and where the complexities of identity can be expressed and valued rather than silenced or simplified.
Therapy with me is not about fixing or diagnosing but about understanding. Together we seek to understand the patterns that repeat, the emotions that persist, and the parts of the self that are seeking attention or care. Through this process, clients often develop a deeper capacity for self-reflection, self-compassion, and emotional regulation. The aim is not perfection or control but integration: a clearer sense of self that allows for choice, balance, and more authentic relationships with others.
Some clients come to therapy for a specific issue such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, or relationship difficulties. Others come with a more general wish to slow down, reconnect, and better understand themselves. Whether our work is short-term or ongoing, my approach remains collaborative and tailored to your needs, shaped by genuine respect for your autonomy and pace.
Ultimately, my role is to support you in making meaning of your experiences, to help you find language and clarity, and to develop a renewed sense of steadiness and inner strength as you move through life’s complexities.
