I have a BA in Psychology (with distinction) from the American College of Greece, an MSc in Foundations of Clinical Psychology from the University of Wales in Bangor and I am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS).
I have been trained in the Rational Emotive and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (RECBT) established by Dr. Albert Ellis and I am a holder of the European Diploma in Trauma Therapy with the EMDR Method. I have also completed the specialisation offered online by the University of Pennsylvania on Foundations of Positive Psychology.
I am currently training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as in Trauma Informed Somatic Counselling.
I have worked with children and adults with ASD for more than 7 years using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and have been a Registered Behaviour Technician.
Having lived in 5 countries so far, I recognize the complexities of being an expatriate. I understand the intricacies of acculturation, the sense of isolation that can arise, and the importance of forging connections in a new environment.
I am also very keenly aware of how important it is to be able to support ourselves by having the knowledge and the tools to observe, self-regulate and empower ourselves; whether that is because we find ourselves in a new environment, we are dealing with the aftermath of trauma, difficult relationships or any other challenging aspect of the human experience.
