As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from multiple schools of psychotherapy to help you identify your core emotional challenges and support your emotional growth and therapeutic goals.
I frequently integrate Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). This approach distils the most effective elements of psychodynamic therapy into a more targeted strategy to promote transformation. It emphasises our conscious and unconscious interactions with ourselves and others, with an emphasis on the experiential—because just talking about things is not enough: there must be a deeper embodiment of change that comes through the felt experience of change, rather than insight alone. This is a relatively directive approach, which means the therapist does not take a passive role but is actively engaged and works alongside you to deepen emotional processing in a safe and supportive way.
Alongside AEDP, I also draw from other modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), which provides a framework for working with distinct inner “parts” of ourselves so that we can develop integration and self-compassion; Sensorimotor and body-based practices; ACT and Mindfulness-based approaches; Gestalt chair work; and experiential inquiry, which invite us into present-moment awareness.
My approach is tailor-made for each client as I tune into your unique lived experience.
