About me

I'm Alexandra, a Social Worker and Counselor, and a Relational Art Therapist. I'm also a migrant myself, so I understand firsthand the complexities of moving and adapting to a new culture. But beyond my professional credentials, I'm a human, just like you, navigating life with all its challenges. Sometimes we all need someone to talk to, and I'm here to provide what you need as we explore new ways of relating together.

If you're here, you might be feeling like words alone aren't enough to express what you're going through. That makes complete sense, so much of our experience lives in our bodies, not just our minds.

Whether you're navigating burnout, trauma, anxiety, or relationship difficulties, they're the body's way of holding onto what hasn't yet been processed.

Art therapy offers a way to give shape to what words can't hold, a powerful pathway to access and express what's been stored in your body. And there is always room for both: images and words, silence and dialogue. You don't need any art experience. In Art Therapy, we focus on the process rather than the product.

What makes art therapy unique is that it allows your body to speak without needing to explain, and the way we interact with art materials often mirrors how we move through life. By accepting imperfect art for what it is, you practice new ways of being that ripple into life beyond the therapy room.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Art therapyRecommended for those who feel more comfortable expressing emotions through creativity and want to explore their feelings through art rather than talking.
Holistic approachRecommended for those who want to address their mental health through a balanced focus on mind, body, and spirit.
Psychodynamic therapyRecommended for those looking to explore their emotions deeply and understand how past experiences shape their present life.

My approach is rooted in the understanding that we are shaped by our relationships from our earliest days. The patterns we learned in connection with others become blueprints for how we move through the world, especially in intimate relationships.

In my sessions, I draw from what I call my toolbox of Art Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mentalization, Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness.

But beyond any specific method, I believe that what truly heals is the relationship we build together. I'm here to provide a safe space where you can be yourself and explore through the art materials. Together, we will explore what arises in a space of care and curiosity.

I work from a trauma-informed approach, which means I understand how trauma lives in the body and nervous system, and I'm committed to creating a space where you feel safe and in control of your own pace and process.

At the heart of my work is presence: meeting you with openness, curiosity, and respect. Therapy, for me, is not about fixing, it’s about accompanying you on your path toward meaning, freedom, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.
