About me

I am the daughter of Mexican immigrants who first moved to the U.S. and later to Spain, which allowed me to deeply understand the expat experience from an early age. My journey into psychology began in a very personal way: I was a ballet dancer until chronic pain hit me like a giant, overwhelming wave. I had to give up my previous career and embarked on a pilgrimage to understand what was happening to my body. During that time, I personally experienced the psychological challenges I now address in therapy: grief over lost health, uncertainty, anxiety, and hopelessness. Fortunately, I also discovered the power of psychotherapy. Having a space to rest, organize my thoughts, and truly be heard was invaluable. This experience led me to pursue a path in clinical psychology, with a specialization in health psychology. I am passionate about creating a supportive environment for others who are going through similar struggles. Currently I live in Madrid with my 2 dogs and my partner. Beyond my work, I enjoy crime novels, reality TV shows, and continue to share my love for ballet as a teacher for young children.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
CFT: Compassion-focused therapyRecommended for those who want to be kinder to themselves and reduce negative self-talk, often using mindfulness techniques.
EMDRRecommended for those dealing with trauma who want to process painful memories in a structured way to reduce their emotional impact.

About My Approach, Training, and Experience

Integrative: I believe in an integrative approach, combining techniques from various schools of thought to meet the unique needs of each client. My foundation is in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), but I also incorporate elements of neuroscience, brief therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Scientific and Specialized: I ground my work in science, drawing from evidence-based research with a critical eye. I focus on a very specific niche, so if I take on your case, it's because I believe I can offer you a specialized approach.

Human: This is a judgment-free space. Though the phrase is often overused, I promise that I will always view your situation with an open mind. I don’t like to simplify, label, or judge what you’re going through. A strong therapeutic alliance—the relationship between therapist and client—has been proven to be crucial for treatment effectiveness. I will nurture our connection with warmth, authenticity, and empathy.

If you're looking for a space to heal, I’m here to listen and walk with you on your journey.
