About me

Hi, I’m Lacey. I’m an expat, parent, and therapist who understands that life abroad—especially if you have or suspect ADHD—can take so much effort. You feel isolated, emotionally drained, and you don’t understand why everyone else seems to find it so easy. Maybe your partner doesn’t get it, but you desperately want to enjoy your life here. You just need tools that actually work for your brain.

If you're constantly overwhelmed or struggling to focus, it’s not because you’re doing something wrong. It may be ADHD, trauma, or both—and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

My clients often come to me after traditional therapy has left them feeling cold and unseen. I offer a totally different experience: a warm, comfortable space where you can drop the mask and bring your whole self, no holding back. You can expect relaxed conversations with a genuine human who truly values your humor and unique perspective.

I specialize in: • ADHD Support: Providing ADHD-friendly therapy, screening, and coaching for adults navigating the challenges of life abroad. We address immediate challenges with organization, focus, and time management for quick relief. • Trauma Therapy: Helping you break free from emotional patterns rooted in the past. Whether you're navigating childhood trauma, relationship wounds, or the invisible stress of expat life, we create safety and clarity for healing at your pace. • Expat Challenges: I've walked this path, too. I help fellow expats sort through the cultural, relational, and identity struggles that have been weighing them down.

My clients walk away from our work together feeling unburdened, equipped, and confident about their next steps. Life can feel lighter, and you deserve to thrive, not just survive.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CoachingRecommended for those who want support and motivation to achieve personal or professional goals, often with a structured, goal-oriented approach.
IFS: Internal family systemsRecommended for those who want to explore and heal the different parts of themselves that might feel conflicted or overwhelmed.
Person-centred approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.

I combine relational therapy with practical, behavioral coaching. This means we’ll work on immediate, tangible goals to help your day-to-day life run smoother, while also addressing the deeper struggles with self-worth and identity that may have haunted you for years.

My approach is trauma-informed and customized to fit you. I lean on modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) that allow for big feelings and focus on self-acceptance, not just symptom management. Our sessions are built on a foundation of genuine connection and comfortable conversation, creating the safe space you've been longing for.

Here’s what you can expect:

  1. A Strong, Low-Stress Start: We'll begin with a free, no-commitment consultation to ensure we’re a good fit and answer all your questions.
  2. A Clear Plan: We’ll work together to define your goals and decide on a schedule that makes sense for you, whether it's weekly therapy or bi-weekly coaching.
  3. Real Transformation: We will translate our knowledge of ADHD, trauma, and expat life into real, immediate change. You'll gain practical tools and a deeper understanding of yourself, empowering you to build a brighter future.

I am an American-licensed therapist (LMHCA, Washington State) with specialized training in ADHD support and complex/relational trauma. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).

You don’t have to stay anxious and overwhelmed. There’s a way forward, and we’ll find it together.
