I am an experienced Counselling Psychologist, having completed my training in both Turkey and the United Kingdom.
I am committed to delivering high-quality psychological services and making a meaningful difference to individuals’ mental health and wellbeing. Fluent in English, Albanian, and Turkish, I connect effectively with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, building therapeutic relationships that are warm, empathetic, and genuine.
My areas of expertise include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centred Therapy. I use these approaches to create personalised interventions that are responsive to each individual’s needs, goals, and values.
In addition to therapy, I provide educational and emotional support to individuals and their families, particularly during periods of stress or crisis. I am known for my patient and thoughtful approach, and my ability to support others in finding practical, effective solutions during difficult times.
What drives my work is a deep commitment to helping people feel understood, empowered, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges. Supporting others to grow, adapt, and move towards lasting change remains at the heart of my practice.
In my approach to therapy, I prioritise a client-centred and holistic perspective, taking into account each individual’s unique circumstances, strengths, and needs. I believe in creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported.
Drawing on my training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centred Therapy, I adapt my approach to meet each client’s goals and challenges. I work collaboratively, involving clients in setting the direction of therapy and ensuring their values and preferences guide the process.
I make use of evidence-based techniques such as cognitive restructuring, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and values-based action planning. These approaches are helpful in addressing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation, and patterns of avoidance or self-criticism. ACT, in particular, supports clients in building psychological flexibility and making choices that align with what matters most to them.
I maintain open and honest communication throughout, and place great importance on building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and mutual respect. I work ethically and sensitively, creating a space where clients feel safe to reflect, explore, and move forward at a pace that feels right for them.
