After living overseas for two years, I am now based in my home country Australia, working as a psychologist online with clients in both Australia and Europe. I am passionate about providing online services to ensure that everyone has access to high-quality psychological support regardless of their means.
I have lived and travelled in many different countries, which has given me the opportunity to immerse myself in different cultures, and learn from others. It was during my travels that my passion to help refugees was ignited. During my free time, I volunteer with NGOs providing support to refugees and internally displaced people, and recently completed a contract in Türkiye, where I developed and facilitated psychosocial programs for Syrian refugees.
My background is in Forensic psychology, where I worked with incarcerated adults from various backgrounds struggling with severe mental health issues, substance abuse, addiction, anger management and complex behaviours. During my time working in prison, it became apparent how difficult childhoods and unresolved trauma were more often than not the predisposing factor leading to incarceration. This has significantly impacted the way I work with individuals, as I try to understand their difficulties within the context of early life experiences.
I now work in private practice, helping clients with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, self-esteem, stress, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and personality disorders.
