I have a Master of Counselling from Monash University (2023) and a Masters in Psychology from Brunel University London (2018) which has provided me the necessary theoretical framework to work in this field and aided me to combine relevant theories from both fields and use them in practice.
My interests in working in Mental Health field revolve around developing my skills in order to help individuals affected by mental health problems to achieve their maximum potential and live a fulfilling life. Working with issues like depression, anxiety and trauma and addiction along with a broad range of population has always interested me, and using my skills for wellbeing of clients is my passion.
I have up to 5 years experience of working in multiple different settings, such as Psychiatry Ward, Mental Health Clinic, Crisis Helpline and Student welfare division in a major University.
Skilled in evidence-based interventions such as CBT, ACT, SFBT, Person Centered and Trauma-Informed therapy, I conduct counselling sessions with referred clients from adolescents to adults. Working in multiple settings has given me a valuable experience in seeing a broad range of clients with different presentations.
My key skills include excellent interpersonal communication, along with active listening skills which helps me to build a great rapport with my clients and it helps me to understand their unique situation in order to guide them through challenges and meaningful transitions.
My approach to intervention is culturally sensitive and tailored to the client's goals.
